When is the best time to lay turf?

When should I first mow my new lawn?

Wait until your new lawn has reached about 1/3 higher than the desired height, typically 2-3 weeks after installation. Ensure the soil is firm, not soggy, and use sharp blades. Never remove more than 1/3 of the grass height in a single mowing.
